To: Tri-Creek Administration, Faculty, Staff and Community Members From: Lisa Patton, Chairman – Teacher of the Year Selection Committee Re: Tri-Creek Teacher of the Year 2007 For the past twenty years, Tri-Creek in conjunction with the Indiana Department of Education, has conducted the “Teacher of the Year” program. Tri-Creek has many outstanding teachers. The following teachers have been selected as our “Teacher of the Year” in the past: 1987 – Junella Wornhoff 1999 – Sherry Peters 1988 – Jacquelyn Sumara 2000 – Abby 1989 – Margaret Hurt 2001 – Donna Harker 1990 – Mary Lou DeLong 2002 – Dennis Keithley 1991 – Mary Cusic 2003 – 1992 – Jeanne Guske – 1993 – Patrice Martin 2004 – 1994 – Sandy Hurst – Laura Eller (secondary) 1995 – Bud Kussy 2005 – Jane Fedler (elementary) 1996 – Nancy Hedlund – Sue McQuiston (secondary) 1997 – Darlene Corns 2006 – Doug Wiseman (elementary) 1998 – Betty Kelley – Denise Smith (secondary) Once again, our committee would like to request your cooperation in helping our school system honor its many wonderful teachers. We will be selecting one elementary and one secondary teacher. Nominations are being accepted from administration, faculty, staff and community members. You may simply submit the name of a teacher for consideration. After the nominations have been submitted, the committee will then work on gathering input on various nominees from colleagues, principals, and community members. If you nominate a teacher, you may receive a questionnaire. The questionnaire will allow the committee to make an informed decision. Our committee hopes that you will give this program consideration and avail yourself of the opportunity to submit a nominee whom you feel merits such an award. Your nominee may be selected from within your school or any school in the corporation. Please use the accompanying nomination form.
